Well not really but I feel dramatic today.
You have a website that is not mobile friendly and traffic is pretty good. So hey what that hell do I need a mobile friendly website for if people are still visiting my site. Well my friends things are about to change.
Google has launched a new algorithm to favor sites that are “mobile-friendly.” So from now on when someone “Google’s” something on their mobile devices pages that use to rank at the top of the search might get a lower ranking. This means a huge loss of business for those websites and a gain for mobile friendly sites.
Google hates us!!
Not really, Google said that they are doing this so that consumers “find content that’s not only relevant and timely, but also easy to read and interact with on smaller mobile screens.” And let’s be real, your website was not design for you, it was design for to attracted new clients, serve your current clients and for brand awareness, and the reality is this people are using their mobile devices to visit your site.
The semi good news is that Google’s search results on desktop and tablets will not be affected. But then again mobile makes up for almost 50% of all Google searches. So….. You do the math…..
On a good note, Google said that as soon as your site is made mobile friendly they will start to rank better in mobile searches.
So here a 1 great way to make your website mobile friendly.
