I like my coffee with cream and a side of emails
Why should I use e-mail marketing
My email is the place I can get information I am expecting to receive (and some unwanted ones, but we can talk about that later.) I get my bills, messages from friends, work and information that I am subscribed to and I am interested in reading.
E-mail can be a very successful online marketing tool. It can be used to connect with the audience that is interested in your products and services; and what better place to connect with potential new customers than the place they check the most, their email.

E-mail Marketing Best Practices
So you like the idea of doing email marketing and you are ready to ask everyone for their name and email. You just added an opt-in form to your website, you are asking people in your social media channels, you placed ads in a couple of other websites and now you are ready to get tons of leads. You have that smiley face feeling going through your veins and you say to yourself “I rock.”
You do rock my friend and you are awesome, but let me help you out with some ideas on how to improve all of your efforts and have a better chance to get leads.
Look around the web and you will find an overflow of opt-in web forms asking for your information. The likelihood of someone signing up to your our e-mail newsletter call to action is next to nothing.
These call to action that says “Sign up to our newsletter” reads more as “more clutter or unwanted information into my precious email account.”
Give value to the content you will provide if they sign up to your newsletter. Let them know that this is information that will be useful to them. Instead of, sign up for our e-mail newsletter try something like, join our e-community to get X type of news, articles, and tutorials. Be specific about what they are signing up for. You will more likely get a larger number of ideal potential customers on your list.
Also, be cautious and use e-mail best practice to get people to opt in. They have to specifically say yes, I want to receive this information in my email. That way you will make your list high quality and not pissed anyone off or get flagged as e-mail spam.
